Manama: Under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Consort of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), the Bahraini Women in the Judicial and Legal Fields forum was held under the theme "Excellence, Creativity, and Innovation". The opening session was attended by prominent officials including Her Highness Shaikha Hessa bint Khalifa Al Khalifa, Shaikh Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa, Dr. Ali bin Fadhel Al Buainain, Nawaf bin Mohammed Al Maawda, and Lulwa bint Saleh Al Awadhi.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the forum was organised by the Public Prosecution in coordination with the Supreme Judicial Council, SCW, the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, the University of Bahrain, and the Judicial and Legal Studies Institute. The event was supported by the Bahrain Development Bank, Diplomat Hotel, NAS Consulting, and Akhbar Al Khaleej newspaper.
Shaikh Khalid bin Ali emphasized the advanced role of Bahraini women in the legal and judicial fields, attributing it to the royal vision of justice and the rule of law as crucial to national development. He praised the SCW, under the leadership of HRH Princess Sabeeka, for empowering women and enhancing national competencies.
Dr. Al Buainain expressed gratitude to HRH Princess Sabeeka for her patronage, which he described as reflective of royal confidence in women's nation-building roles. He stressed the Public Prosecution's commitment to a supportive environment for women, acknowledging their competence and announcing initiatives to enhance their presence in legal and judicial fields.
Al Awadhi highlighted the forum's significance in celebrating Bahraini Women's Day, noting women's roles in family life and nation-building. She expressed appreciation for participating institutions and emphasized the significance of women's contributions in judicial fields in line with Bahrain's Vision 2030 and Vision 2050.
The forum underscored Bahraini women's leadership in law, their contributions, and aspirations within the legal profession, focusing on legal innovation, achievements in education, and the role of AI and digital transformation in the justice sector. Discussions also highlighted SCW's support in advancing women's positions in these fields.
The event concluded by recognizing Bahraini women's achievements in law and judiciary, reaffirming their role as key partners in justice and emphasizing the importance of continued support for excellence, creativity, and innovation in strengthening Bahrain's leadership in the sector.
