Manama: Bahrain has announced the launch of ten new government land investment opportunities at Cityscape Bahrain 2025. Nouf Abdulrahman Jamsheer, Undersecretary for Research and Projects at the Office of the Prime Minister and Chairperson of the Government Land Investment Committee, highlighted the Kingdom's ongoing efforts to enhance its appeal as a prime destination for high-quality real estate investments, aiming to engage the private sector in national development.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Cityscape Bahrain 2025 event serves as the platform for unveiling these new opportunities via the Government Land Investment Platform. These opportunities span various essential areas in Bahrain and cater to community needs while aligning with urban and economic development plans. Notable among these is a 1,718.6 square metre plot in Salman City designated for a kindergarten and another 6,531.4 square metre plot for a supermarket. Furthermore, a 1,750.7 square metre plot in East Sitra is also allocated for a supermarket. Additional offerings include a 3,264 square metre plot in Seef District for a mixed-use building and a 1,028.3 square metre plot in Salman City for a medical clinic.
The industrial sector offerings include several plots in different regions, such as a 2,950 square metre plot in Al Mazra'a Industrial Area, a 574 square metre plot in Al Maameer Industrial Area, and a 2,000 square metre plot in Salman Industrial City, all intended for service and commercial centres. There are also opportunities for existing buildings, including a 27,000 square metre property in Manama for development as a commercial mixed-use building with parking, and a 1,565 square metre building in Bu Ghazal for commercial use.
Jamsheer emphasized the Kingdom's efforts to maximize government land use, serving economic development goals and fostering private sector partnerships. Investment applications can be made through the Government Land Investment Platform's website, allowing investors to access property details and submit bids electronically.
Cityscape Bahrain is seen as a strategic opportunity to present these investment offerings to both local and international audiences.
