Manama: Bahraini handball player Ali Sami said the opening win against Hong Kong was an important step in the team's journey at the Asian Games. He expressed happiness with the victory, which gave the team a strong morale boost from the start.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Sami added that the team played well and showed a good level, although there is still much to improve in upcoming matches. He noted that the performance will gradually develop as players gain more cohesion and get used to the tournament atmosphere.
He emphasised the significance of the first match win both psychologically and technically, as it gives the team the confidence to maintain the same pace and achieve positive results in the rest of the competition. He added that the team plans to focus on each game individually with high concentration and aims to win every match while representing Bahraini handball with pride.
