IPA Director General Engages Participants of Qeyadat Programme

Manama: Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa bin Daij Al Khalifa, Director General of the Institute of Public Administration (IPA), received participants of the 35th batch of the "Qeyadat" (Leaderships) programme, a key component of the national initiative aimed at developing government leaders.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa stressed the significance of empowering government leaders, particularly directors and their equivalents, with advanced communication skills. These skills are critical for effective engagement with official media outlets, which in turn enhances the Kingdom of Bahrain's leadership and visibility both locally and globally.

Dr. Shaikha Rana explained that the inclusion of a communication and influence module in the programme underscores the Institute's mission to equip participants with modern media analysis tools. This initiative aims to strengthen participants' ability to understand media impacts on their organisations' reputations. She highlighted the Institute's dedication to employing diverse learning methods, such as practical training and simulations, to foster robust media skills that enable participants to represent their organisations effectively and highlight Bahrain's achievements.

Ahmed Khaled Al Araifi, CEO of the National Communication Centre (NCC), reiterated that investing in the development of government leaders is crucial for enhancing Bahrain's government communication framework. He stated that building leadership capacity across sectors capable of implementing integrated communication plans is essential for aligning with a comprehensive national vision.

This vision aims to highlight Bahrain's achievements, initiatives, and aspirations, positioning government communication as a catalyst for sustainable development. Al Araifi praised the Institute's emphasis on integrating government communication into its programmes, thereby supporting NCC's objectives.

Al Araifi also emphasized the Centre's commitment to fostering partnership and collaboration among government communication departments. He stressed the importance of embodying the "Team Bahrain" spirit to cultivate a culture of transparent, professional, and innovative communication.

He confirmed the NCC's ongoing efforts to enhance communication skills and readiness among national cadres, thereby elevating the efficiency of the communication sector and promoting Bahrain's positive image and achievements across various sectors.
