Bahrain Theatre Festival Concludes Under Patronage of HH Khalid bin Hamad

Manama: Held under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the closing ceremony of the fourth Bahrain Theatre Festival took place, attended by Yousif Mohammed Al Binkhalil, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Information. This year's festival, organized by the Bahrain Theaters Union Associations, coincided with the centenary of Bahraini theatre.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Al Binkhalil stated that the festival serves as an important platform in Bahrain's cultural scene, reflecting appreciation for theatre pioneers and their contributions to Bahrain's national and artistic identity. He emphasized the ongoing support from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the guidance of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for the cultural and theatre sectors.

Al Binkhalil praised the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, highlighting His Highness's commitment to supporting the arts and empowering Bahraini talents in cultural fields. He mentioned that the festival plays a significant role in developing young creative talent, providing a platform to discover and nurture emerging artists, thus strengthening their presence in the cultural arena.

The ceremony featured artistic performances and recognition segments, including a short play titled "Love is for the Birds." The Undersecretary presented awards to jury members, critics, participants, and winners of the festival's competitions to acknowledge their contributions.
