Manama: Philippe Pinsolle, Judge at the Bahrain International Commercial Court (BICC), participated in the second edition of the "Hawar Circle," organised by the Council for International Dispute Resolution of the Kingdom of Bahrain. He was joined by a select group of arbitration specialists representing jurisdictions such as the United Kingdom, Republic of Singapore, French Republic, Federal Republic of Nigeria, Republic of India, and Hong Kong, as the gathering builds on the groundwork laid during the first Hawar Circle.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Judge Pinsolle's attendance highlights the Bahrain International Commercial Court's continued involvement in shaping global standards for arbitration, drawing on the Centenary Principles established by the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) in London. Discussions this year will center on three core themes: Immunity, Ethics, and the Right of Representation within the field of international arbitration.
Across the three-day event, delegates will review key challenges facing international arbitration, share professional insights, and collaborate on strengthening the principles that guide effective dispute resolution. Outcomes from these sessions will contribute to the continued refinement of the "Hawar Principles," which are set to undergo a global review before being formally adopted.
