Manama: The 24th Scientific Forum of the Gulf Society for History and Archaeology in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) commenced in the Kingdom of Bahrain. This two-day event gathers researchers and academics who specialize in history and archaeology from across the GCC.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Ali Mansoor Al Shehab, Chairman of the Preparatory Committee, highlighted the forum's role in fostering cooperation among Gulf historians and researchers. He commended the Society's efforts in preserving the collective cultural heritage of the Arab Gulf.
Dr. Yusuf Al Abdullah, President of the Society, stressed the importance of continued communication among its members. He underscored the role of such forums in advancing joint academic work and preserving the collective Gulf memory in its various dimensions.
Dr. Ahmed Al Zil'ai, Secretary General of the Society, expressed appreciation to the organizers and sponsors. He highlighted the contributions of participating researchers and academics in enriching scientific research and showcasing the richness and diversity of Gulf heritage.
The forum concluded with a ceremony honoring sponsors and supporting entities for their role in the success of this specialized regional platform for knowledge exchange and the promotion of cultural and historical awareness in the GCC.
