Manama: His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has issued Decree (22) of 2025, which restructures the National Archive Centre. This decision was made based on a proposal from the Prime Minister and received approval from the Cabinet.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the decree outlines that the National Archive Centre will now include a Board of Trustees. The Centre will be overseen by a President and will comprise two directorates: the Documents and Archives Directorate and the Research and Knowledge Services Directorate. This restructuring aims to streamline the operations and enhance the efficiency of the Centre.
The decree is effective immediately from the date of issuance and will be published in the Official Gazette, ensuring transparency and public awareness of the changes.
