Preparations are underway for the new pilgrimage season in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Bahrain’s Hajj quota will include this year a total of 2094 pilgrims who will be divided among 59 licensed operators,
The new regulations for this Haj season make it mandatory for at least five operators to merge together.
Only one operator will be designated among them to be in charge of their collective Hajj trip and negotiate with relevant authorities, whether in Bahrain or in Saudi Arabia.
The regulation aims to improve services and maintain the prices of Hajj this year in light of the reduction in numbers. People aged 65 and over will not be issued permits.
The deadline for completing the Hajj procedures on the Saudi track is May 16 and departure to Saudi Arabia will be on Dhu al-Hijjah 4, 1443 AH, while return to Bahrain will be on Dhu al-Hijjah 14.
Bahrain Hajj Mission Chairman Shaikh Adnan bin Abdulla Al Qattan urged operators to comply with the directives of the High Committee for Hajj and Umrah Affairs and the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah to ensure the success of this exceptional pilgrimage season.
He was speaking during the annual forum which was held remotely with operators to discuss the new mandatory regulations which will be enforced this year.
He extended deepest thanks and gratitude to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister for their support to Bahrain Hajj Committee.
He highlighted the directives of the Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, Chairman of the High Committee for Hajj and Umrah Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa.
