Bahrain Bourse and Bahrain Clear Highlight Regulatory Advancements at HSBC MENAT Future Forum 2025

Abu Dhabi: Bahrain Bourse and Bahrain Clear participated in the HSBC MENAT Future Forum 2025 held in the United Arab Emirates, as part of an initiative to enhance international investor outreach and strengthen connections with global fund and asset managers. The forum provided a platform for showcasing key regulatory and market developments to both regional and international investors.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the discussions at the forum focused on evolving market trends, digital transformation, regulatory frameworks, and securities market infrastructure within the MENAT region. Abdulla Abdin, Chief Operating Officer of Bahrain Clear, participated in a panel discussion titled 'Innovation and Transformation: The Growth Phase of MENA Capital Markets.' He highlighted recent regulatory advancements such as the "Technical (Uncovered) Short Selling" framework, and the implementation of a new Delivery Versus Payment (DVP) model.

On the sidelines of the event, representatives from Bahrain Bourse and Bahrain Clear engaged in one-on-one meetings with leading international fund and asset managers. These discussions provided insights into Bahrain's capital market regulations and emphasized key regulatory and market developments underway, as well as investment opportunities in listed companies.

Shaikh Khalifa bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa, Chief Executive Officer of Bahrain Bourse, stated that Bahrain Bourse's participation in the forum underscores its commitment to fostering innovation and strengthening market linkages.
