New york: Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain, held a meeting with Carlos Arturo Hoyos, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Panama, today in New York. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the United Nations Security Council meetings.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the discussions between the two officials focused on enhancing bilateral relations and exploring ways to promote cooperation in areas of mutual interest. They also exchanged views on recent regional developments, especially concerning the implications of Iran's closure of the Strait of Hormuz on maritime navigation, international trade, and the global economy.
The conversation further addressed coordination and joint efforts during their respective memberships in the UN Security Council, focusing on various regional and international issues under the Council's consideration. The meeting was attended by Hatem Abdulhameed Hatem, Chief of the Organizations Sector, along with the Minister's accompanying delegation.
