Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah congratulated the Chairman and board members on gaining the confidence of the General Assembly, commending the board's harmonious mix that brings together seasoned professional expertise and promising youth capabilities, as well as the prominent role of Bahraini women in the engineering sector. He also expressed his appreciation to the previous Board of Directors of the society, chaired by Dr. Raeda Al Alawi, for their commendable efforts and initiatives that laid a solid foundation to build upon.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the Deputy Prime Minister affirmed that the Bahraini engineer is a key partner in translating the civilizational, urban, and economic visions of the Kingdom into tangible, real achievements that support the objectives of the comprehensive development process led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah noted that sustaining the excellence of Bahraini engineers depends on having a unified framework that brings efforts together and advances the profession. He highlighted the important role of professional associations as national centres of expertise and key incubators of talent. He emphasised that the government is keen to strengthen cooperation with these associations, particularly the Bahrain Society of Engineers, and to benefit from their technical expertise in developing related sectors.

The Deputy Prime Minister recalled with pride the Bahrain Society of Engineers' long history of more than 50 years as the Kingdom's first specialised professional association, established in 1972. He noted that the principles and ethics set by its founders reflect the pioneering role of Bahraini engineers since then in building the foundations of organised work.

Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah called on the society to intensify programmes for qualifying and training national engineering cadres to enhance the quality of professional practice and to encourage the adoption of modern technologies to improve efficiency. He also highlighted the importance of continuing to strengthen the society's regional and international presence and building integrated strategic partnerships with counterpart associations in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states.

For his part, the chairman affirmed the Board's commitment to transforming the directives into effective initiatives that enhance professional work and develop the efficiency of national engineering cadres.
