Bahrain and Egypt Forge Agreement on Human Resources Development

Cairo: During the official visit of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain, to Egypt, a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed. This agreement between the Ministries of Labour of Bahrain and Egypt focuses on labour and human resources development.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Yousif bin Abdulhussain Khalaf, the Minister of Legal Affairs and Acting Minister of Labour, praised the robust relations between Bahrain and Egypt. He stated that the MoU demonstrates both nations' dedication to enhancing ties, exchanging successful labour market experiences, and advancing human resource skills to address current needs. The agreement is also designed to support youth employment and assist the private sector in employing nationals.

The MoU outlines plans to improve cooperation on labour laws, work conditions, health and safety. It also includes the exchange of technical advice, implementation of joint programmes, sharing of labour market data, and coordination on regional and international stages to showcase successful experiences in labour and human resource development.
