Bahrain Ambassador to Germany Participates in 2026 International Sudan Conference

Berlin: Ahmed Ibrahim Al Qurainis, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Federal Republic of Germany, represented the Kingdom at the third International Sudan Conference held in Berlin. The high-level summit brought together representatives from multiple nations and international bodies to address the ongoing conflict in Sudan.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the conference was co-organised by the Federal Republic of Germany, the European Union, the French Republic, the United Kingdom, the United States of America, and the African Union. Distinguished attendees included UN Secretary-General Ant³nio Guterres and Kaja Kallas, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, as well as foreign ministers and representatives from 55 nations and various civil society organisations.

The conference focused on urging an immediate cessation of hostilities and strict adherence to international humanitarian law within the Republic of Sudan. Participants emphasised the necessity of ensuring unhindered humanitarian access across all Sudanese territories while working to revive the peace process and reach a sustainable political resolution to the conflict.
