BAB to Host Annual Bahraini Banks Reception in Washington, DC

Washington: The Bahrain Association of Banks (BAB) announced that it will be hosting its annual reception for Bahraini banks in Washington, D.C., on October 16. The event will coincide with the Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank and is expected to attract high-level participation from Bahraini banks, along with prominent leadership and executive delegations from across the financial and banking sectors.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the reception is supported by leading financial institutions, with National Bank of Bahrain (NBB), Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait (BBK), Al Salam Bank, and Kuwait Finance House (KFH) as platinum sponsors. They are joined by Bank ABC, Gulf International Bank, and GFH Financial Group as gold sponsors, in addition to Gulf Air as the exclusive airline partner. The event is set to welcome a distinguished group of global financial and banking leaders, including government officials, central bank governors, senior representatives from both the public and private sectors, and other key stakeholders.

Yaser Al Sharifi, Chairman of BAB, stated that organising this annual event reflects BAB's commitment to reinforcing Bahrain's position as a premier regional financial centre in global forums. He highlighted that hosting this reception underscores both the strength of Bahrain's financial services sector and the Kingdom's strategic importance within the international financial community.

Zeeba Askar, CEO of BAB, emphasized that the reception has become a vital platform to highlight the milestones, strengths, and opportunities of Bahrain's financial and banking sector. She expressed gratitude to the supporting organisations and sponsors whose partnership is key to the event's success and its position on the international financial industry agenda.
