Manama: Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, met with the Board members of the Bahrain Businesswomen Society (BBS), chaired by Dr. Fatema Abduljabbar Al Kooheji.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa commended the Society's efforts in advancing women's participation in entrepreneurship. He highlighted that civil society institutions are key partners in supporting programmes and initiatives that contribute to national economic growth.
He emphasised that Bahraini women have played an active and distinguished role across various domains, contributing to the Kingdom of Bahrain's comprehensive development under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the guidance of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. He also noted the continued support of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Consort of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women.
The Finance Minister underlined the importance of enhancing partnerships with the private sector and civil society, and of providing a supportive environment for entrepreneurship. He added that the achievements of Bahraini women in the private sector represent a valuable addition to the national economy and open broader opportunities for innovative and sustainable projects.
