Washington: Shaikh Abdullah bin Rashid Al Khalifa, The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United States of America, participated in the Washington Prosperity Summit. The Summit was organised by the Polaris National Security Foundation in partnership with the N7 Foundation, featuring a diverse group of participants including members of the current US administration, legislators from both the Republican and Democratic parties, foreign officials, and senior business executives from the United States and the Middle East.
According to Bahrain News Agency, during a dialogue session focused on enhancing defense cooperation, the Ambassador emphasized Bahrain’s commitment to supporting peace and stability in the region and fostering international cooperation. He highlighted Bahrain’s role as a reliable regional partner and discussed the close relations between Bahrain and the US in various fields, such as defense, security, the economy, and technology. The Ambassador also noted ongoing coordination efforts to support regional and international initiatives aimed at achieving security, peace, and shared prosperity.
Shaikh Abdullah bin Rashid further mentioned the Comprehensive Security Integration and Prosperity Agreement (C-SIPA) as a pivotal development in Bahraini-American relations, designed to bolster cooperation in defense, economic resilience, and technological advancement. He remarked on the significance of the United Kingdom’s accession to the agreement, which underscores the depth and expansion of strategic alliances aimed at enhancing security and stability in the region.
The session was attended by notable figures including Senator Joni Ernst, a member of the U.S. Senate, and Joe Musselman, founder of Bravo Victor Ventur Capital. It was moderated by Ambassador Nathan Sales, former U.S. Under Secretary of State for Civilian Security, Democracy and Human Rights and Distinguished Fellow for Middle East Programs at the Atlantic Council.
