Manama: The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) has announced that the latest monthly issue of its six-month short-term Ijara Murabaha Sukuk has been oversubscribed by 172%. The subscriptions amounted to BD 86.050 million, surpassing the BD 50 million target for the issue, which has a maturity period of 182 days.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the expected return on this issue, commencing on September 3 and maturing on March 4, 2027, is 5.60%, slightly lower than the 5.62% return of the previous issue dated July 30. The CBB issues the Ijara Murabaha Sukuk on behalf of the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain, marking this as issue 6IM/13 (ISIN BH0008627356) in the short-term Ijara Murabaha Sukuk series.
