Brussels: Dr. Mohammed Ali Behzad, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Kingdom of Belgium and to the European Union, welcomed Luigi Di Maio, the EU Special Representative for the Gulf, at the embassy in Brussels. The meeting highlighted the strengthening of bilateral relations and ongoing cooperation between Bahrain and the EU across multiple domains.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Behzad emphasized the progress achieved in political, economic, trade, and development areas. He and Di Maio explored ways to further enhance ties to support mutual interests.
Di Maio expressed his appreciation for the strong relations and coordination between the EU and Bahrain, as well as the broader Gulf region. He affirmed the EU’s commitment to continuing joint cooperation to advance shared interests.
The discussions also addressed Bahrain-EU cooperation in various fields, the enhancement of Gulf-EU relations during Bahrain’s current presidency of the Gulf Cooperation Council, and various regional and international issues of common interest.
