14 Sentenced in Separate Cases Involving Violence and Vandalism

Manama: The Head of the Terror Crimes Prosecution stated that the Lower Criminal Court, in its session held today, issued rulings in seven separate cases involving rioting, violence, and acts of vandalism. Fourteen defendants were sentenced to imprisonment ranging from two to three years, fined between BD200 and BD500, and had seized items confiscated.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the Public Prosecution had received seven reports from the Ministry of Interior's security directorates, indicating that the defendants were apprehended at the scene while engaging in acts of violence and vandalism. The defendants were referred to the Public Prosecution, which conducted investigations, questioned those involved, heard witness testimonies, and reviewed technical reports before referring the cases to court.

The court examined the cases over several hearings before issuing its rulings. The Public Prosecution said that it will continue to take firm legal action against any acts that undermine public security or endanger community safety, stressing its commitment to enforcing the law and safeguarding stability.
