Salalah: Salah Haider Hussain, Director of the Zakat and Charity Fund at the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, participated in the third Zakat Conference and Exhibition organized by the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman. The event was held in Salalah under the theme "Zakat and Institutional Identity: Workforce Efficiency and Strengthening Community Trust".
According to Bahrain News Agency, Hussain reviewed the Kingdom of Bahrain's experience in developing the Zakat institution. He addressed key areas including the institutional and legislative framework, digital transformation and diversification of donation channels, institutional development and capacity-building, projects and programmes implemented by the Fund, as well as future prospects.
Hussain emphasized the Fund's commitment to exchanging expertise and experiences to keep pace with developments in institutional Zakat work, aiming to realize its legal and social objectives.
The conference and exhibition aim to raise awareness of the importance of Zakat as a tool for achieving social justice and enhancing solidarity. This is pursued through developing skills of workers in the sector, supporting marketing and media efforts, and applying emotional intelligence to promote a culture of Zakat.
