Manama: As part of the Kingdom of Bahrain's presidency of the 46th session of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Marwan Fouad Kamal, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Youth Affairs, chaired the remote sixth meeting of the Planning, Coordination and Follow-up Committee under the GCC Ministers of Youth and Sports.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting discussed several items on the agenda, most notably means to enhance and sustain the GCC joint youth work system, the Gulf Sports for All Day initiative, as well as reviewing the approved Gulf youth activities and programmes for 2026, and Gulf Youth Day.
It also addressed strengthening international cooperation in the youth sector, sustaining youth activities in partnership with the public and non-profit private sectors, in addition to discussing the framework for honouring individuals in the field of youth work and distinguished and creative youth, as well as the GCC Youth Creativity in Data Award.
The meeting concluded with several recommendations to be submitted to the meeting of the Committee of GCC Ministers of Youth and Sports for appropriate decisions.
