Speaker: Bahrain Prioritises Productive Work Environment, Quality Employment Opportunities

Manama: Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, emphasized that the Kingdom of Bahrain, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and with the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, places strong emphasis on protecting workers' rights and fostering a work environment that encourages productivity and innovation as part of the Kingdom's development process.

According to Bahrain News Agency, in a statement marking Labour Day, observed annually on May 1, Al Musallam underlined the Kingdom's appreciation for workers' contributions to development. He noted that there are ongoing efforts to enhance social protection, safeguard rights, and improve labour systems across various sectors.

He highlighted that the occasion sheds light on parliamentary work, government programmes, and private sector efforts aimed at developing the labour market. This includes expanding quality job opportunities for citizens, supporting the employment of job seekers, and prioritising Bahrainis in employment, training, and empowerment.

Al Musallam also praised government initiatives to support the employment of Bahraini youth and acknowledged the cooperation of the private sector in these employment efforts. He extended congratulations to the workforce and labour unions, wishing them continued success in their contributions to the Kingdom's development.
