Youth Ministry and Export Bahrain Launch Initiative to Boost Youth Market Opportunities


Manama: The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Export Bahrain launched a joint initiative aimed at expanding the reach of the Youth Market initiative and supporting youth-led enterprises. The announcement coincides with Bahraini Youth Day and seeks to enhance entrepreneurship by creating a more supportive business environment for young entrepreneurs.



According to Bahrain News Agency, Marwan Fouad Kamal, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Youth Affairs, emphasised the importance of the partnership in developing the youth entrepreneurship ecosystem. He noted that the ministry continues to advance the Youth Market initiative to empower young entrepreneurs, providing opportunities for local and international expansion and opening new markets for innovative and sustainable ventures.



Safa Sharif Abdulkhaleq, Chief Executive Officer of Export Bahrain, highlighted the organisation’s commitment to enabling youth to realise their aspirations and unlock new opportunities for innovation and achievement. She noted that Export Bahrain offers programmes and initiatives to support youth in accessing regional and international markets.



She added that the partnership with the Ministry of Youth Affairs will enhance efforts to provide solutions that support project sustainability and competitiveness, reflecting the Kingdom’s dedication to investing in youth potential and positioning itself as a global entrepreneurship hub.



The joint initiative will offer a collaborative framework to develop and support young entrepreneurs, particularly in areas of entrepreneurship and export. It aims to increase their competitiveness in regional and international markets and ensure long-term growth and sustainability.



The initiative also seeks to expand the scope of the Youth Market events organised by the Ministry, providing platforms for showcasing and marketing youth-led virtual businesses, thereby improving their visibility in local and international markets.



Additionally, the initiative will enable young entrepreneurs to participate in relevant events and training workshops, especially those related to export and international marketing, and offer commercial advisory services. It will also support their participation in international exhibitions to help them access new markets.
