Youth Minister Supports Bahrain’s Efforts in Endurance Racing

Manama: Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, recently held a meeting with Dr. Khalid Ahmed, Director of the Royal Endurance Team, to discuss strategies aimed at attracting more Bahraini youth to the field of endurance racing. The meeting also explored potential joint initiatives to integrate endurance sports into various youth activities.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the minister underscored the significant contributions of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, who serves as the Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs and is also the Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports. His Highness has played a key role in achieving notable milestones in endurance racing, thereby elevating Bahrain's status in international arenas.

Tawfiqi emphasized that the vision of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad is centered on the sustainable development of endurance sports within the Kingdom by investing in the nation's youth. She highlighted the importance of creating an environment that supports the talents of young Bahrainis, enabling them to compete in local, regional, and international tournaments.

The minister further noted that endurance and equestrian sports are a significant part of Bahrain's identity and heritage, underscoring their importance in the cultural and sporting landscape of the country.
