Youth Minister Engages in Talks with UK’s Baroness Patricia Scotland

Manama: Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, received Baroness Patricia Scotland, Member of the House of Lords of the United Kingdom and former Secretary-General of the Commonwealth. The meeting underscored the historical and collaborative ties between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom, particularly highlighting youth sector advancements.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Minister Tawfiqi emphasized Bahrain's commitment to leveraging successful international experiences in youth development. She elaborated on the Ministry's dedication to learning from the efforts of global organizations and institutions renowned for their expertise in the youth domain.

Baroness Scotland acknowledged Bahrain's dedication to youth empowerment, praising the initiatives launched by the Ministry of Youth Affairs. She noted that these efforts reflect Bahrain's commitment to enhancing the role of youth in development on both local and international platforms.

The discussions during the meeting also covered the exchange of ideas on improving youth-related initiatives. Both parties reviewed a series of projects aimed at empowering the youth and fostering their active involvement across multiple sectors.
