Youth Minister Engages in Misk Global Forum 2025 to Discuss Empowerment Initiatives

Riyadh: Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, took part in the main panel discussion at the Misk Global Forum 2025 in Saudi Arabia. The event focused on empowering youth to create their own stories, solutions, and initiatives, during which she highlighted key milestones of her career, sharing experiences that have shaped her leadership vision and practical expertise.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Minister Tawfiqi stated that under the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Bahrain has successfully established an advanced youth system. The forward-looking approach set by His Majesty has created an ideal environment for youth, enabling them to transform challenges into opportunities and achievements.

She elaborated that this national approach has been reinforced under the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. His focus on investing in youth is a central pillar of the government's agenda. Additionally, the efforts of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, have significantly advanced youth empowerment and enhanced their active role across various domains.

The minister discussed the rapid development of the youth system in Bahrain, noting that the Bahrain Economic Vision 2030 provides a strategic framework that focuses on investing in the potential of youth and providing opportunities. She emphasized that national efforts have established an approach based on innovation, capacity-building, and enabling youth to lead future initiatives.

She explained that the Ministry employs a methodology for discovering, developing, and showcasing talents using scientific tools and advanced analytical techniques. Youth empowerment centers, organizations, and model centers form an integrated system that operates year-round to develop skills and nurture national talent.

Minister Tawfiqi highlighted initiatives that offer practical empowerment opportunities, including programs that provide real-world experiences in technology, science, arts, media, entrepreneurship, sports, and health. These initiatives enable youth to explore their abilities and define their future career paths.

Regarding youth participation in decision-making, the Minister emphasized that the National Strategy for Youth Empowerment focuses on providing institutional channels for effective contribution. This includes specialized advisory committees, open dialogue initiatives, youth representation in international forums, and regular monitoring tools to assess youth aspirations and support their involvement in shaping national programs.

Minister Tawfiqi stressed the importance of self-belief and personal development, urging youth to engage with those who inspire and support their ambitions. She encouraged them to continue striving to make an impact that reflects their aspirations and realizes their potential.
