Manama: Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, chaired the final evaluation session for the teams qualifying for the last stage of the fifth edition of the national initiative Lamea, with the participation of the evaluation committee.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the committee comprises notable figures including Shaikha Dhuwa bint Khalid Al Khalifa, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Lamea; Abdullah Al Juffali, Regional President of Honeywell and member of the Saudi Leadership Society, an initiative of the Mohammed bin Salman Foundation (MiSK); Areije Al Shakar, CEO of BeVentures at Bapco Energies; and Dhabya Al Rafaei, General Manager of Lamea.
The session commenced with a presentation detailing the evaluation mechanism and the criteria used to assess the quality of the teams' outputs. The evaluation concentrated on the teams' use of strategic foresight tools, their ability to build future scenarios, and their capacity to formulate operational and financial strategies capable of addressing various situations.
Participating teams presented their proposals to the committee, showcasing their visions and analyses concerning the future of the sectors and topics addressed in the challenge. These presentations included potential scenarios, strategic directions, and derived implementation plans, highlighting a readiness to meet future demands.
The committee discussed the outputs of the qualifying teams, deliberating on the quality of the presentations and the level of operational readiness. These discussions aim to finalize results to be added to outcomes from previous stages, ultimately leading to the official announcement of the fifth edition of Lamea.
Minister Tawfiqi commended the participating teams for their efforts and innovative insights, which reflect the development of Bahraini youth in strategic thinking and future foresight. She emphasized that the outputs of the final challenge highlight the youth's ability to link future analysis with decision-making and practical implementation, thereby preparing qualified young leaders capable of shaping the future actively.
