Youth Minister Celebrates Bahraini Women’s Day at Askar Sports Complex.

Manama: Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, attended a ceremony organised by the Askar Sports Complex to celebrate Bahraini Women's Day. The event was attended by board members and female staff from youth empowerment centres, highlighting the significant contributions of Bahraini women to the youth sector. According to Bahrain News Agency, the minister emphasised that women are an integral part of the youth empowerment ecosystem, playing a leading role in managing programmes, implementing strategies, and driving the development of these centres. She noted their contributions to decision-making, planning initiatives, and benefiting from training opportunities that help discover and enhance their talents. The minister commended the female workforce in youth empowerment centres for their determination, ambition, and commitment to learning, reinforcing their role in sustaining the centres' development. She also expressed appreciation for the Askar Sports Complex's initiative to honour female s taff, recognising the importance of highlighting women's contributions. During the event, the minister honoured board members of the Askar Sports Complex, members of its women's committee, and female affiliates of youth empowerment centres in celebration of Bahraini Women's Day. The ceremony began with a speech by Ibrahim Al Kaabi, Secretary of the Askar Sports Complex, who commended the minister's support for youth institutions and their role in enabling young people. He highlighted the complex's focus on women through its women's committee, which has launched various cultural, awareness, and sports activities. The event also featured a film commemorating Bahraini Women's Day and a presentation showcasing the youth-focused programmes implemented by the centre.
