Geneva: Yousif bin Abdulhussain Khalaf, Minister of Labour and Minister of Legal Affairs, led Bahrain's delegation to the 114th session of the International Labour Conference in Geneva. The conference served as a platform for Bahrain to present its strategies aimed at enhancing the labour market through digital transformation and other forward-looking initiatives.
According to Bahrain News Agency, during his address, Minister Khalaf highlighted Bahrain's proactive measures to foster labour market growth. These measures include programmes focused on digital transformation, skills development, and innovation. The minister emphasized the role of artificial intelligence training programmes in improving employment opportunities and aligning workforce skills with the evolving demands of the future labour market.
Furthermore, Minister Khalaf took the opportunity to condemn the Iranian attacks targeting Bahrain, other Gulf Cooperation Council states, and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. He reaffirmed Bahrain's commitment to maintaining regional stability and its dedication to advancing both economic and social development.
