Muharraq: Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, attended the launch of the visual identity of the "Al Bait Al Oud" Authority, held at Bin Matar House in Muharraq. Minister Tawfiqi stated that this launch marks a significant milestone in empowering youth and involving them in national initiatives, in alignment with His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa's vision to enhance youth roles in preserving national heritage.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Minister Tawfiqi emphasized that the hackathon serves as a model for youth creativity, translating national values into a contemporary visual language. This effort aims to strengthen Bahraini identity and deepen national belonging. The ministry remains committed to its strategy to bolster national identity among youth, supporting the National Plan to Promote Belonging and Strengthen Citizenship (Bahrainouna).
Dr. Lulwa Bu Dalama, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the "Al Bait Al Oud" Authority, highlighted the initiative's alignment with strategic objectives to consolidate national identity among the youth. She praised the creative submissions for their high level of awareness and innovation, which contribute to preparing a proactive generation.
Shaikha Dwa bint Khalid Al Khalifa, Chairperson of the Judging Committee, explained the selection process for the visual identity, considering creative and symbolic dimensions. The submissions demonstrated a deep understanding of national identity, employing heritage elements innovatively.
The event featured a film on the hackathon's journey, an artistic segment, and a video announcing the winner of the visual identity design. Contestant Hessa Ghazi won the design contest with a submission inspired by the traditional Bahraini game "Al Sikkeena," symbolizing generational connections and cultural roots. The design embodies the objectives of the "Al Bait Al Oud" Authority, blending heritage authenticity with modernity to reflect a living national identity.
