Manama: Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfeeqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, announced that the 15th edition of Youth City 2030 will launch on July 12 with 256 training programmes and 10,650 training opportunities, marking the largest edition since the initiative was launched.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the Minister detailed that Youth City 2030 is expected to attract more than 6,000 young participants, an increase from 5,309 last year. The number of training opportunities has increased significantly from 6,953 in 2025 to 10,650 this year. The programme will feature 256 training programmes, up from around 230 last year, including over 150 new programmes focusing on future skills and promising sectors.

Organised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs in collaboration with the strategic partner, the Labour Fund (Tamkeen), the initiative aims to engage more than 105 partners from the public, private, and civil sectors. This collaboration is intended to broaden the range of opportunities and experiences accessible to Bahraini youth.

The Minister highlighted that this year's edition will offer training across five main areas: the Entrepreneurship and Leadership Centre, the Arts and Culture Centre, the Science and Technology Centre, the Media and Digital Innovation Centre, and the Sports City. These areas will be managed in cooperation with the private sector to maximize the benefits for participants.

She urged Bahraini youth to take advantage of the opportunities presented by Youth City 2030 to develop their skills, gain practical experience, and improve their readiness for the labour market.
