Manama: Minister of Youth Affairs, Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfeeqi, visited Youth City 2030, accompanied by a number of ministers and senior officials. They reviewed the training programmes, specialised workshops, and accompanying activities, receiving a briefing on the initiatives hosted by the city and their role in developing the youth's skills and fostering a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Minister Tawfeeqi emphasized the support extended to Bahraini youth by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, stating that it reflects a national vision placing young people at the heart of development. She noted that this vision establishes solid foundations for investing in national talent and creating an environment that empowers young people to innovate and contribute to building the Kingdom's future.
The minister further mentioned that the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, have strengthened the youth sector. Initiatives are enhancing young people's readiness and providing opportunities to acquire future skills in line with the Kingdom's comprehensive development goals and the needs of the national economy.
Minister Tawfeeqi affirmed that the City's continued growth and success reflect the ongoing support of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian and Youth Affairs. His support has strengthened youth empowerment and helped create an environment encouraging initiative and excellence.
She highlighted that Youth City 2030, in its largest edition since its launch, has become a leading national platform for preparing Bahraini youth through specialised training programmes and partnerships with national and international organisations. The initiative combines knowledge with practical experience to prepare a qualified national workforce capable of keeping pace with change and creating new opportunities.
The tour was attended by several ministers, including Engineer Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak, Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture; Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications; and others. They visited the City's training centres, reviewed youth projects, and met participants to learn about their experiences and the skills they had gained.
