Youth Affairs Minister and UN Official Discuss Strategic Youth Initiatives

Manama: Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, held a remote meeting with Felipe Paullier, UN Assistant Secretary-General for Youth Affairs, as part of the strategic partnership between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Nations, particularly in the youth sector. The minister highlighted the positive outcomes of this partnership, which has led to the launch of several joint programmes and initiatives aimed at enhancing the skills and capabilities of Bahraini youth, reinforcing their role as a driving force in the Kingdom's progress.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation and expanding youth initiatives aligned with Bahrain's aspirations to equip young people with essential skills. The two sides discussed enhancing collaboration between the Ministry of Youth Affairs and the UN to advance the youth sector. The dialogue highlighted the Hope Network, Bahrain's pioneering initiative to enhance the global competitiveness of Bahraini youth, which has facilitated the exchange of expertise and successful experiences among member states.

Felipe Paullier commended Bahrain's leading experience in youth sector development and underscored the UN's commitment to strengthening cooperation with the ministry to achieve shared objectives that benefit Bahraini youth.
