Manama: Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfeeqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, met with Dalal Al Qais, CEO of the Bahrain Development Bank Group (BDB), to discuss the importance of enhancing institutional cooperation. The partnership with BDB is considered a key pillar in supporting the ambitions of Bahraini youth, particularly in innovation, entrepreneurship, and youth-led projects.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Minister Tawfiqi emphasized that formalizing this cooperation will provide quality opportunities for young people to transform their ideas into viable and sustainable projects, in alignment with the National Youth Empowerment Strategy. She praised the Bank's initiative to establish the "Youth Empowerment Committee," which reflects the Bank's commitment to fostering youth support. The Minister expressed hope that the committee will play a significant role in developing programs and initiatives to empower young people and enhance their workplace abilities.
The meeting also explored future cooperation prospects between the Ministry of Youth Affairs and the BDB. Discussions included implementing joint programs to promote entrepreneurial culture, support start-ups, and offer tailored training and consultancy packages for youth. Members of the Youth Empowerment Committee presented an overview of their objectives and tasks, highlighting initiatives planned to boost youth workplace participation and stimulate their innovation and leadership spirit.
Dalal Al Qais expressed the Bank's interest in strengthening its partnership with the Ministry of Youth Affairs. She highlighted BDB's commitment to supporting national efforts to empower young people and enhance their contribution to sustainable development through innovative solutions and supportive mechanisms for promising youth projects.
