Works Ministry to Collaborate with PMI.

Manama: Ibrahim bin Hassan Al Hawaj, Minister of Works, received a delegation from the Project Management Institute (PMI) to discuss strengthening cooperation and sharing expertise to enhance the efficiency of developmental projects and improve infrastructure quality. The minister highlighted the significance of the ministry's ongoing strategic partnership with PMI, noting that it has been an accredited training partner for nine years. This collaboration has successfully trained engineering professionals in global best practices, enabling them to obtain internationally recognised certifications. According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting discussed new opportunities for cooperation, such as training for the Certified Construction Professional (PMI-CP) credential, for which the Ministry of Works is the sole certified organisation in the Kingdom. Minister Al Hawaj emphasised that adopting PMI's international standards and practices has significantly improved the efficiency and quality of strategic projects, aligning with the government's vision to enhance public projects and services. The meeting also reviewed future collaboration areas, including participation in regional and international events organised by PMI and local initiatives to promote professional project management practices.
