Dubai: Ibrahim bin Hassan Al Hawaj, Minister of Works, participated in the 10th Dubai International Project Management Forum (DIPMF), held under the theme "Sustainable Future". The event was organised by the Roads and Transport Authority, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, Emaar Properties, the Project Management Institute (PMI), and DP World. It brought together top global speakers, organisation leaders, experts, and senior officials from major international companies to focus on best practices and innovative solutions in sustainable project management, mobility, future cities, and the use of technology and artificial intelligence in project management.
According to Bahrain News Agency, on the sidelines of the forum, Minister Al Hawaj met with Pierre Le Manh, CEO of the Project Management Institute (PMI). The minister emphasised the importance of strengthening the partnership with PMI to improve project management methods and boost the efficiency of professionals. He highlighted the Ministry's role as an accredited training partner, noting that through this partnership, it has trained hundreds of public sector engineers, helping them earn internationally recognised project management certifications.
During the meeting, opportunities to further enhance collaboration in academic and professional fields at local, regional, and international levels were also discussed. Le Manh commended the role of effective project management in developing infrastructure and executing vital developmental projects in the Kingdom. He highlighted the PMI's readiness to support national initiatives to improve project management efficiency in line with global best practices.
