Works Minister Engages in Strategic Meeting with Kuwaiti Counterpart

Manama: Ibrahim bin Hassan Al Hawaj, Minister of Works, met with Dr. Noura Mohammed Al Mishaan, Minister of Public Works of the State of Kuwait, in a significant move to bolster infrastructure collaboration between Bahrain and Kuwait. Sheikh Thamer Jaber Al Ahmad Al Sabah, the Kuwaiti Ambassador to Bahrain, was also in attendance at this pivotal meeting.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting emphasized the importance of exchanging successful infrastructure experiences and reiterated both nations' commitment to enhancing coordination and cooperation in support of their development goals. During the session, Minister Al Hawaj delivered a comprehensive presentation on Bahrain's road network advancements. The presentation highlighted key initiatives in road development and maintenance, improvements in material quality, and the application of advanced specifications and technical standards.

Several significant road projects in Bahrain were reviewed, including the Sheikh Jaber Al Ahmad Al Sabah Street Development Project, the Al Fateh Highway Development Project, the Sheikh Zayed Road Extension Project, the Muharraq Ring Road Expansion Project, and the Nasser bin Hamad Loop Project. The presentation further detailed the Ministry's efforts in monitoring asphalt quality, approving asphalt mixtures through rigorous testing and international standards, conducting domain examinations, accrediting factories, and embracing research programs to encourage the use of recycled materials.

Dr. Al Mishaan praised Bahrain's advanced practices and dedication to maintaining high technical and professional standards in road projects, marking a promising step towards enhanced bilateral cooperation in infrastructure development.
