Victorious clinch 1-2 win; Al Zaeem finish third

HH Shaikh Isa bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, President of BREEF crowned jockey Isa Al Enzi of Victorious team as the champion of the 120km-opening international race which began from the new Ras El Bar Village and concluded at Bahrain International Endurance Village. Al Enzi’s teammate Mohammed Al Hashemi came second, and Shahad Waleed of Al Zaeem team finished third, both of whom were also crowned HH Shaikh Isa bin Abdullah Al Khalifa.

The event was held

under the patronage and follow-up of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of HM the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs Honourary President of Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF) and in the presence of HH Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa, HH Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa, Vice President of the Supreme Council for the Environment (SCE),

On this occasion, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa expressed happiness at seeing Victorious team taking home a one-two victory in the race, pointing out that this resounding victory confirms the high ambitions of the team.

Moreover, HH Shaikh Nasser stated that the race featured strong competition with most of the jockeys pushing for the win.

Finally, HH Shaikh Nasser expressed appreciation and gratitude to BREEF under the presidency of HH Shaikh Isa bin Abdullah Al Khalifa for the efforts exerted to make the opening race a huge success.

It’s worth noting that HH Shaikh Nasser was present during the race and has been keen to provide instructions to the jockeys throughout the stages.

Best Horse Condition Award

At the end of the race, the Best Horse Condition Awards that were patronised by HH Shaika Noora bint Hamad Al Khalifa, Captain of Al Fursan team were handed to the winners. Victorious team collected this award in the 120km and 100km races.

Winners

Al Enzi of Victorious team finished first in the 120km race posting a time of 4 hours, 55 minutes and 40 seconds, followed by his teammate Al Hashemi who clocked in 4 hours, 55 minutes and 45 seconds, while Waleed of Al Zaeem booked the last podium place in 5 hours, 7 minutes and 11 seconds.

Meanwhile, Mohammed Khalid of A1 stables came first in the 100km race in 5 hours, 10 minutes and 50 seconds, followed by Ramzi Mohammed of N13 stables (5 hours, 32 minutes and 36 seconds) and Nasser Khalifa of N13 stables (5 hours, 33 minutes and 35 seconds) respectively.
