Manama: Vatel Bahrain and Hilton Garden Inn Bahrain Bay have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to initiate an internship programme aimed at providing hands-on experience to students in the hospitality sector. This collaboration is poised to enhance Vatel Bahrain's role in developing skilled professionals for the tourism and hospitality industry.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the MoU was signed by Shaikh Khaled bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, the General Director of Vatel Bahrain, and Manuela Brode, the General Manager of Hilton Garden Inn Bahrain Bay. Shaikh Khaled bin Khalifa emphasized the college's dedication to forming robust partnerships across the tourism sector, which will offer high-quality training and practical learning opportunities to students pursuing careers in hospitality, tourism, and hotel management.
Shaikh Khaled bin Khalifa stated, "We are honored to strengthen the partnership with Hilton Garden Inn Bahrain Bay, a distinguished brand within the Hilton Hotels Group, to enhance the practical training provided to our learners. This collaboration underscores our commitment to equipping our students with exceptional experiences and development opportunities, ensuring they receive world-class training in internationally recognized facilities and are well-prepared to lead and advance Bahrain's hospitality industry."
The partnership aligns with Vatel Bahrain's vision to cultivate highly skilled and innovative graduates. It supports Bahrain's Tourism Strategy 2022-2026 and Vision 2030, which aim to establish the Kingdom as a global leader in tourism and hospitality education.
Manuela Brode highlighted the hotel's commitment to developing local Bahraini talent.
