Manama: The Kingdom of Bahrain and the United States of America continue to be partners in defense, security, and trade related sectors aimed at taking the ties to the new heights of excellence, the US Ambassador said. Speaking to the media at the US Pavilion at the Bahrain International Airshow (BIAS) 2024, Ambassador Steven Bondy said that the Comprehensive Security Integration and Prosperity Agreement (CSIPA) contributes to advancing cooperation across a wide range of areas, from defense and security to emerging technology, trade, and investment.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the agreement marks the latest development in the United States’ close partnership with Bahrain and enduring commitment to the region in support of peace. He added that CSIPA was gaining momentum with the number of initiatives is in the pipeline. ‘We will continue to follow up and work closely with Bahraini authorities on cooperation on a variety of areas of common interest.’
On BIAS 2024, the ambassador said that this year has
a very robust American presence at the Show. He added that there was an impressive presence of American aircrafts which demonstrate the most innovative and technologically advanced aircrafts. Ambassador Bondy said BIAS 2024 provided a forum to assemble and showcase what the United States has to offer in the context of a very long-lasting partnership between US and Bahrain. He also highlighted the business opportunities the airshow enables.
