Urban zoning guidebook launched

Manama, Chief Executive Officer of the Urban Planning and Development Authority (UPDA), Ahmed Abdulaziz Al-Khayyat, has announced the launch of the guidebook of the Zoning Regulations for Construction across the Kingdom.

He indicated that the guidebook contains simplified pictures, maps and illustrations to make it easy-to-understand for the citizens and investors.

He said that the guidebook was inaugurated on the sidelines of UPDA’s participation in Cityscape Bahrain 2022, to achieve the aspirations of comprehensive development, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and supported by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Prime Minister and Chairman of the Higher Committee for Urban Planning.

Al-Khayyat noted that the urban zoning maps’ guidebook was launched in implementation of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s Edict (56) of 2022, promulgating the issuance of Zoning Regulations for Construction across the Kingdom of Bahrain, based on the Minister of Housing and Urban Planning’s proposal and following Cabinet approval.

He added that the urban zoning guidebook, which is a reference for those interested in the kingdom’s real estate sector, is available on UPDA’s website www.upda.gov.bh, and Instagram account, bahrainupda@.
