University of Bahrain (UoB) President Dr. Jawaher bint Shaheen Al Mudhahki has today received Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa bin Daij Al Khalifa, Secretary General of the Higher Education Council (HEC) and HEC Board of Trustees Deputy Chairperson.
During the meeting which was held at the UoB campus in Sakhir, the two sides discussed academic cooperation, scientific research and the future of higher education. Dr. Al Mudhahki commended the council’s role and efforts to enhance the standard of higher education, improve academic outcomes and encourage investments.
Dr. Shaikha Rana highlight the strides achieved by public and private higher education to enhance students’ academic level and bridge the gap between education and the labour market. The meeting was attended by UoB President for IT Services and Administrative Affairs Dr. Osama Abdulla Al Jowder, College of Engineering Dean Dr. Shaikha Haifa bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, HEC Communication Officer Shaikh Abdulla bin Khalid Al Khalifa and Programmes Coordinator Eman Salem Abdulla.
