UOB and Bahrain Polytechnic Meet National Quality Standards

Manama: The University of Bahrain (UOB) and Bahrain Polytechnic have achieved a significant milestone by being rated "compliant with the institutional review framework standards" by the Education and Training Quality Authority (BQA). This recognition follows comprehensive reviews conducted in coordination with the Higher Education Council.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Mohamed bin Mubarak Juma, the Minister of Education and Chairman of the Higher Education Council Board of Trustees, praised both institutions for their success in meeting essential standards. These standards encompass various critical areas, including governance, human resources, quality assurance, infrastructure, academic management, research, community engagement, and student services.

The ceremony was attended by the Minister and officials from the Higher Education Council.

Dr. Maryam highlighted that this achievement showcases the progress of national institutions in fostering academic quality and continuous improvement. She pointed out that adherence to the National Qualifications Framework plays a crucial role in bolstering public trust, enhancing labour market readiness, and reinforcing Bahrain's competitive position in the academic sector.
