University of Bahrain Launches Upgraded Digital Certificates Service, Reducing Processing Time to One Working Day

Manama: As part of ongoing government efforts to develop service quality and re-engineer procedures, the University of Bahrain has developed its certificates request service into a new digital service enabling graduates, after their graduation is approved by the University Council, to issue their graduation certificate, obtain a certified copy, or request a replacement for a lost certificate, in accordance with the regulations and procedures in place at the University of Bahrain.

According to Bahrain News Agency, under the enhanced service, processing time has been reduced to one working day instead of three, contributing to improved efficiency and faster response to beneficiaries' requests. The service is available through the national portal bahrain.bh, where users can log in, pay fees if applicable, select the required document and specify the type of copy (electronic or printed). The relevant university department issues the certificate if it is not already available, after which it is provided electronically with verification available via QR code, or printed copies are delivered by mail, without any change to the user process.

Fouad Mohammed Al Ansari, President of the University of Bahrain, said the development comes as part of the university's adoption of innovative digital solutions aimed at accelerating internal procedures and improving service efficiency, adding that the upgrade reflects the university's commitment to providing an enhanced user experience and reducing processing time in line with beneficiaries' expectations.

As part of ongoing government efforts to develop and re-engineer government services, more than 1,300 government services have been documented, translated, and published, with around 800 services undergoing development and re-engineering across various government sectors. This is based on proposals and feedback received regarding government services through the National System for Suggestions and Complaints "Tawasul," investor feedback, and secret shopper reports evaluating government services, as well as the launch of guidance manuals and service level agreements.

These efforts contribute to improving procedural efficiency, enhancing service quality, strengthening beneficiary experience, and supporting the government's digital transformation journey.
