UN Deputy Secretary-General receives former General Assembly president

The Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations, Amina Mohammed, received the former President of the 61st session of the United Nations General Assembly, Shaikha Haya bint Rashid Al Khalifa, who delivered a letter from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to the United Nations Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres.

Shaikha Haya conveyed to the UN Deputy Secretary-General the wishes of His Majesty the King of further success to the United Nations in its efforts to preserve security and peace in the world.

The UN Deputy Secretary-General lauded the development of the Kingdom of Bahrain in all fields, especially regarding women’s progress, wishing the kingdom continued progress and prosperity.

The meeting was attended by the Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Nations in New York, Ambassador Jamal Faris Al-Ruwaie.
