Abu dhabi: His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, received Richard Marles, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defence of Australia.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting discussed cooperation and joint action between the two countries, and opportunities to further develop ties, particularly in defence-related domains.
Both sides also discussed regional and international issues of mutual interest, including developments in the Middle East and their serious implications for regional and international security and stability, in addition to global maritime security.
