Manama: His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, held talks with His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan on the longstanding relations and cooperation between the two countries, as well as means to enhance them across various domains in a manner that serves their development priorities and mutual interests and brings prosperity to their peoples.
According to Bahrain News Agency, both leaders reaffirmed during the meeting their shared commitment to further strengthening UAE-Jordan relations and expanding their horizons across the economic, trade, and development sectors, as well as other domains, within the framework of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement between the two countries.
Issues and matters of common interest were also reviewed, foremost among them developments in the Middle East. Both leaders exchanged views, affirming their commitment to continued consultation and coordination on various issues in a manner that supports efforts to consolidate sustainable security and stability in the region.
His Majesty King Abdullah II had arrived in Abu Dhabi earlier and departed later, with HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed at the forefront of those bidding His Majesty farewell.
