Jakarta:According to Bahrain News Agency, Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, commended the UAE National Guard's Coast Guard for their successful rescue of Asian crew members from an oil tanker after a fire broke out on board in the Arabian Gulf.
In his message to Saqr Ghobash, Speaker of the Federal National Council of the United Arab Emirates, Al Musallam praised the swift and efficient response of the UAE Coast Guard in handling the maritime emergency. He highlighted their efforts in providing medical assistance to the survivors, noting the importance of their role in saving lives and enhancing maritime safety.
Additionally, the Speaker emphasized the need for stronger parliamentary cooperation among Gulf and Arab nations. He also called for coordinated international efforts to ensure maritime navigation safety and freedom of passage through crucial shipping lanes, which is essential for supporting global energy security, facilitating international trade, and promoting stability both regionally and internationally.
