Abu Dhabi: His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, received a telephone call from Masoud Pezeshkian, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, during which HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed welcomed the ceasefire agreement between Iran and Israel, expressing his hope that it would serve as a foundation for enhancing stability and security in the region.
According to Bahrain News Agency, HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed stressed the importance of supporting the success of this agreement for the benefit of the countries and peoples of the region, reiterating the UAE's commitment to supporting initiatives that promote regional peace and security.
On his part, the Iranian President expressed appreciation for the UAE's position and solidarity with Iran regarding the Israeli military targeting of its territory.
